Overview
When a fight causes a man to fall off a dock, witness Bert Mallinson comes into possession of a suitcase full of cash and finds himself embroiled in a web of deceit from which he cannot escape. This noirish tale, based on Newhaven-Dieppe by Belgian crime writer Georges Simenon, was actually shot in and around Folkestone by expert director of melodrama Lance Comfort.
