Raleigh 'Raincheck' Advert
Send in the clowns! Raleigh demonstrates its latest cycle safety innovation in unconventional style.
Overview
Clowning around on a wet road is no joke for bicycle manufacturer Raleigh in this odd 1970s promotional film for their latest safety innovation, the Raincheck. William Woollard (of Tomorrow’s World fame) presents from the company’s Nottingham test centre, his solemn tones interrupted by the sudden entrance of two unusual cyclists. Viewers with a phobia of clowns may wish to avert their eyes.
