Overview

There were few things that excited the Topical Budget team more than the chance to film women playing sport, but as ever the tone stays just the right side of patronising. We are introduced to the team of “Enthusiastic girl cricketers” at Sunbury, who are shown taking the pitch before we get general shots of the action and close-ups of both bowlers and batters. One team was made up of women from the popular Lyons Corner Houses restaurant chain.
