Overview

The Morton family proudly poses for the camera in their respective uniforms: Royal Navy, Special Constable and Women's Voluntary Service. Out of uniform, Kenneth Morton follows the patriotic slogan 'Dig for Victory', producing a successful crop of vegetables. A 'Wings of Victory' parade along Stratford Road in the Morton's home town of Shirley completes this endearing snapshot of ordinary life on the home front.
