Overview

Keen amateur filmmaker Alan Cleaver filmed Peterborough, documenting the changing face of the city within which he lived. Captured on 9.5mm, a popular film format for home cinematography, Cleaver’s colour footage spans thirty years in its content, beginning in the fifties, and shows Peterborough’s city streets, and important landmarks such as the cathedral, River Nene, and railway.
