Ulster Heritage
A jaunty guide to life and industry in Ulster which focuses on a Northern Irish farming family.
Overview
The Northern Irish farming industry enjoys a day in the sun in this promotional film from the Central Office of Information. Showing the life and work of the Richmond family, it aims to highlight the strong agricultural roots of Ulster and also showcase new industries. But there's more to life than farming; the family also enjoy shopping in Belfast and a seaside trip to Portrush, where there's a brief glimpse of the Arcadia Ballroom in its heyday.
Shot in Eastmancolor, Ulster Heritage looks more Hollywood than Holywood and gives a nostalgic look at a pre-Troubles province.
