The Olympic Flame

Is it a food or drink? Ovaltine takes the Gold at the 1932 Los Angeles Olympics.

Advert 1932 7 mins Silent

Overview

Great Britain scored 4 gold medals at the 1932 Los Angeles Summer Olympics, but Ovaltine steals the show as the only officially recognised branded "food-drink" in the Olympic village. In the days before a certain fizzy drink in a red can endorsed the games, the chefs of all competing nations oversee their athletes by ensuring the energy-producing Ovaltine is on the menu - it gives you the will to win!

Although a sound version of this film was made, only this silent version produced for classroom film projectors survives.
