"T" For Teacher

Do you know the golden rules of tea making? The Tea Bureau set out to put your cuppa straight in this progressively designed post-war cartoon

Animation & Artists Moving Image 1947 5 mins Silent

Overview

Never underestimate the importance of the humble cuppa. And with the golden rules of The Tea Bureau at hand your brew need never be stewed. This post-war sponsored cartoon features some remarkable designs by Peter Sachs, a German animator who had worked with George Pal before emigrating to the UK before the war. His legacy as “Art Director” at the Larkins studio was not just the look but also the experimental spirit of British animation going forward.
