Overview
An almighty group of German Olympic hopefuls come together to try out for a place on the 1928 team in this silent newsreel. Classic images of marching formations contrast sharply with the more fun - but still highly skilled - wheel gymnastics. Unfortunately, the German gymnasts who made it to the team didn't manage to take home any medals.
Bi-weekly newsreel British Screen News was in its infancy at the time of this film, having started in July 1928.
