Nevin Holiday 1927
These holidaymakers make the most of the sunny weather in Nefyn (once anglicized as ‘Nevin'), with beach tent, cricket bats and bathing caps.

Overview
Summer on the Ll_n Peninsula: Nefyn, once anglicized as 'Nevin', is the chosen location for a holiday taken by a group of family/friends with a fluffy white dog who bathe, picnic – very close to the cliff edge - and play cricket in the sun. They also witness the launch of a lifeboat at nearby Porthdinllaen, where temporary lifeboats were in use from 1926 until 1949.
This film was bought by someone who found it, together with a small collection of other reels, in a junk shop and passed the lot on to The National Screen and Sound Archive of Wales in case they proved to be of interest. As with other home movie footage that has lost its connection to those featured, we can appreciate the images but the unanswered questions are tantalising: Who are or were the people featured? Did they travel far to stay in Nefyn? Had they any particular links with Wales? Might someone seeing this film on the BFI Player have the answers?
