Overview

The Mortons on holiday in Pembrokeshire. They watch motorcycle races on Pendine Sands in the rain, and have fun on the beach at Penally, Mr Morton capturing wonderful images of the coast, including the Gower Peninsula and Caldey Island. When the family visit Tenby, it is easy to see why this town would have been a popular destination for holiday-makers with its hotels overlooking the sea and harbour. A beauty contest and a flying boat on a rescue mission add to the appeal.

The Sunderland flying boat, used for air/sea rescue at the time, was mobilised on this occasion to search for a boy who was believed to have fallen from the cliffs.
