Overview
The vaulting ambition of this 1930s exercise class must be admired. What self-respecting gym class doesn’t have a uniformed ice-cream vendor on hand for breaks? The commercial prompt for refreshments often signalled the start of the lost cinema interval, with a tray of ice-creams always on hand to respond to the call.
