Our chaps can do it again! Meet the brave men who tackled Zeppelin airships for a living during WWI.

Non-Fiction 1915 2 mins Silent

Overview

The title of this Warwick Bioscope newsreel references the derring-do of Sub-Lieutenant Warneford, who was awarded the Victoria Cross after shooting down a German Zeppelin airship in June 1915. The film itself highlights contemporaries of Warneford who tackled airships daily; the man himself wasn’t caught on camera, and sadly died in an air crash within days of the newsreel’s release.
