Overview
Of Richard Thomas and Baldwins Limited 20 plants, the Ebbw Vale Works is considered "major", being a fully integrated steel works and producing 1¼ million ingot tons a year. Presenting a catalogue of products and their uses (from car parts to wheelbarrows), the film concludes with extensive footage of recent developments - a second electrolytic tinning line at Ebbw Vale and the new integrated Spencer Works at Newport which will up RTB annual output to 3 million ingot tons.
