Overview

The demands of war compelled the British government to ask its citizens for help in sourcing valuable materials for the war front. Metal was in especially high demand and every scrap that could be salvaged was greatly needed. With Industries and local authorities already supplying what they could, it was down to everyday citizens to keep feeding Britain’s furnaces.
