Congregation at Hanley Old Church (c.1901)
Staffordshire parishioners stream home after a service.
Overview
The filmmakers have carefully positioned the camera at an angle to capture the maximum number of people as they are funnelled around the corner entrance to the church in the Staffordshire town of Hanley. The church itself is barely visible in the background, making it difficult to identify which of Hanley's churches it is - though the shop front in the foreground may offer a clue.
