Overview

Judy Finnigan reports for Anglia TV, chatting to Douglas Campbell, a wheelchair user and disabled driver, and campaigner for disabled people.  Mr Campbell expresses concern over the safety of the “Invacar” - a small vehicle adapted for disabled drivers, notable for its ice-blue colouring and fibreglass body.  The three-wheeled car has no room for passengers, and is unstable in high winds, leaving drivers vulnerable to accidents.

For ten years Douglas Campbell was CEO of The Disabled Drivers’ Association. Douglas was appointed OBE in 2002 for services to the mobility of disabled people.
