Overview

The first Bungay Horse Fair held at Mettingham Castle in May 1976. One of the East Anglian Fairs that ran during the 1970s, another being Barsham Fair. These fairs became a significant feature in the Suffolk calendar, a place for travellers, new agers, and locals to gather. The East Anglian Fairs, later called the Albion Fairs, were a hybrid of a music festival and a centre of interest for rural community living. Captured on 8mm Kodachrome by amateur filmmaker Mr A. Taberham.
