Overview

A couple relax in a comfortable domestic scene. The husband switches on the television, which - much to their dismay - instantly malfunctions. No amount of tuning or angry thumping does the trick, so he darts to the nearby repair shop. The repairman dismantles the television, ignoring that it is plugged in - it explodes. The couple retreat to the local cine club...only to see a fourth wall breaking screening of themselves watching a functional television!

This short film was made by Pinner Cine Society, now known as Harrow Film Makers. This film is from the collection of Headstone Manor Museum, a member of the London's Screen Archives Network.
