Overview

Christopher Whitcombe shot this charming reel of 8mm film in the summer of 1952. It shows a day in the life of his wife, Rosemary, and their baby. From peeling the spuds to washing the dog; there's plenty of work to be done but Mrs Whitcombe still finds time to squeeze in a shopping trip to Lincoln from the family home at Brattleby. From the 6:30 alarm it's an all too rare look at domestic life from a genre usually associated with special occasions.
