Overview

Smut, a terrier seen enjoying life on Welsh beaches in various Cox family films, is here given a bath in a tub in the garden, prior to which his owners are shot with a parrot at Whipsnade Zoo. Mr and Mrs Cox's son, Harold, a keen amateur film-maker is doing the filming, recording the zoo's animals and people riding on an elephant - evidence of the rather different attitude to zoo animals at the time. The Warwickshire family regularly visited Dyffryn Ardudwy, where Harold and his brother had neighbouring holiday/retirement bungalows.
