Activities Pictured at Littleover First Aid Post
An air raid could come at any moment and Derby had to be ready to deal with the casualties. The people of Littleover were so well prepapred they filmed one of their exercises.

Overview
Littleover is a suburb of Derby, an industrial town that is home to Rolls Royce's aero engine factory where the Merlin engine for the Spitfire was manufactured during the Second World War. This made the town a potential target for Hitler's bombers. Although fifty people lost their lives during air raids between 1940 and 1942 the town emerged from the war relatively unscathed. Even so, it's good to know that the first aid provision in Littleover was the best it could be.
