Overview

Peterborough's newsreel cameras were out in force in 1952 reporting events from Sandringham to the Silverstone circuit in Northants. They capture moments of international importance such as the departure from Sandringham of the body of King George VI and international motor racing, as well as acknowledging the local trade and 'colour' of the daffodils and tulips and an impressive display by visiting Danish gymnasts.
