Non-Fiction 1915 1 mins Silent

Overview

During 1915 recruiting marches were a common sight all over the country. This march on 6 May in Fulham is led by veterans of the 1867 Garibaldian campaign for Italian unification. Italy had just joined the war on the side of the Allies which explains why these very aged soldiers, with one young Italian uniformed lady, were brought out, in a spirit of Anglo-Italian friendship.
